Fall is in the air! For a week now our mornings and evenings are cooler, while the middle of the day is warm and mild. Beautiful weather, if you ask me, the best!
Pig Roast on Skyline Drive

Skyland Resort along Skyline Drive South (if you enter off 211 out of Luray) will host its first annual Bluegrass and Pig Roast Saturday, September 8, 2012. The event is scheduled from 11am to 5pm. Visit the www.senandoah.com website for more info.
What a cool event to attend while you enjoy the vistas off Skyline Drive.
Pillow Talk - Music Walk

Are you as picky about the pillow you sleep on as us? Mike like them firm, I like them soft. Mike sleeps on his back. I sleep on my belly. Medium pillows are best for side sleepers. This what I learned recently. To make all sleepers as comfortable as possible the South Court Inn offers firm and soft pillows on all beds upon request. All beds come with medium pillows and probably accommodate most sleepers.
Fire Pit

We had a glorious ending to an exciting day at the South Court Inn. Our sons Lukas and Tom had built a fire in the pit they built and eventually all our guests were out there joining us enjoying the lightning in the distance, the calm after the rain storm. So there were Chelsea and Spencer from Maryland, Martin and Dale from New Jersey and Amy and Randy our Newlyweds from Pennsylvania. Mike had returned from a four day trip and I had relaxed after busy weekend days.
Wet feet

So I got my feet wet, as they say. We had our first weekend with guests and it was great. I was very nervous about doing it all right, not forgetting anything and paying just the right attention to our guests. In the end we could sense and hear their appreciation which makes it all worth it!
In the midst of all that we had to say good bye to our oldest son Christopher as he moved to start his career in Atlanta, GA. Wow!

Good morning all!
It seemed we were doing so well with our move in and then the remainder of our "stuff" from Ashburn arrived from our storage units and more. Back to square one? Not quite, but lots more work.
Mike and I keep on massaging our website. We really want to go live real soon.
We have added to our helping hands. Besides Ale, Lukas and Tom we got Ben now. He is Tom's friend from Ashburn and had time to spare so he could work hard for us! What a friend!
