"Tom and Anita are fabulous hosts. The room was comfortable. A welcome snack basket and mini fridge with sodas and water were nice perks we've not experienced before. Meals were FABULOUS -- looked great, tasted great, and were unique. The Thanksgiving package included dinner at the Mimslyn Inn in Luray. It was a delicious dining experience. Tom even made us pumpkin pie and yummy apple pastries for our second dessert! Great coffee to drink with the BEST PUMPKIN FRENCH TOAST made with croissants. Every course, from fruit to dessert, was what I would expect from a fine dining establishment. Tom and Anita have all the bases covered for a marvelous B and B experience. We've been going to B and B's for 10+ years for birthdays and anniversary, and South Court Inn with Tom and Anita Potts rates in the top 3 of all times."
“Thank you for your warm hospitality. I can’t remember ever feeling so pampered, spoiled or free!”
“Thank you for giving us the perfect setting for our 2nd anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay…the incredible room, the hot tub, the antique silver and all the great food.”
“Wow! is the first word that comes to mind. The pear dish was simply outstanding. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stay in a hotel again!”
"The modern day invention, 'Ihe Internet,' presented us with the opportunity to discover South Court Inn...and we were not disappointed! We understand that Americans don't do things by halves; well we found living proof in you both. Your house is a testament to research, endeavor and hard labour. You should be rightly very proud of your accomplishment. We could not cease to be amazed: every visit to every room brought another curio, story or eye-catching artefact. More importantly, what is most enduring is the unequivocal determination you put into your hospitality. We admire it and thank you. Our journey continues and others will follow, all to experience the delightful 'moment in time' South Court Inn represents. Our thanks to you both! Mike and Wendy, Surrey, England"
"My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the South Court Inn! The Margaret Bland Room was beautiful and the Inn itself was breathtaking. If you visit, be sure to enjoy the morning coffee on the sun porch or in the elegant sitting room. Tom and Anita were extremely hospitable, and the breakfasts were wonderful. I especially appreciated the suggestions on what to do, and the helpful map that ensured I could find the places I wanted to visit!"
"Tom and Anita were the picture of hospitality and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at South Court. There were lots of little "extras" that made the stay even more fun...coffee brought to our door every morning, snack and chocolate available at all times, a nice movie collection to select from, and leftover chocolate cake brought to our door one night. The cottage was a GREAT deal, completely private and very charming. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon!"
We spent a lovely anniversary weekend exploring the area around Luray Virginia and South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast provided a great base for our weekend. From the time we booked our room until the time we turned our keys in, B&B owners Tom and Anita Potts were gracious and extremely helpful hosts. Tom offered his help making dinner reservations for our anniversary dinner, booking our tickets for Luray Caverns and also provided suggestions for winery visits and day trips.
As for breakfast, we were first intimidated by the elaborate table settings and the fact that all guests had to eat together promptly at 9 am, but the food and the relaxed banter amongst guests and hosts was a nice experience. The food was amazing!
We stayed in the Mary Kennard Room. The picture on their website doesn't do the room justice. The walls are painted a beautiful royal blue color which gave the room a cozy feel. The bed was nice and comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. We really enjoyed our stay at the South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast and will definitely stay there again."
'"We loved the Margaret Bland room and the rest of the house. The room's furniture and decorations were gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. The large living room was also decorated beautifully following the 1800 architecture.
The breakfasts were delicious, especially the homemade sausage! The dining room place settings were antique and the hosts told interesting stories about how people in the 1800's lived. We liked the hosts discussions of the history of the house. We would definitely stay at this B&B again and recommend it."
